COURTYARD RENOVATION     
The focus of the courtyard renovation was to redefine the architecture of the center of the great hall in order to improve the passenger experience as one moves through the airport. The concept developed embraced the architectural notion of creating an exterior space, a kind of park for a myriad of functions.
A garden courtyard was developed, by designing skylights to bring in daylight to what was once a windowless space. The courtyard concept allowed incorporation of lush Florida landscaping, more intimate groupings of park style furniture, a small fountain, and a large civic scale clock.
