DINING FACILITY SHAW AIR FORCE BASE
This new dining facility accommodates 216 patrons in three separate seating areas including a large exterior patio. The main design element is a two-story serving / circulation spine which provides day lighting to the center of the facility.
The use of a local split face masonry material, barrel vault configuration, and light colored high emmisity metal roof provides an architecture reference to context and heritage of the Air Force Base at Sumter, South Carolina.
