THE LAURA TRIO     Jacksonville, FL
KBJ Architects was awarded the project dedicated to restoring and rehabilitating the three landmark historic buildings in the heart of downtown that are often referred to as the “Trio”. The project will preserve the Florida Life and the Bisbee Buildings which were designed by H.J. Klutho and which cradle the elegant “Marble Bank” on its corner site.

The project represents the commitment of the Trustees of the Police and Fire Pension Fund to preserve our architectural heritage and by giving new life to these buildings, contribute to the renaissance of our center city. Both KBJ Architects and the Trustee’s vision will focus on mixed uses of the buildings, commercial and office space in the lower floors and housing in the upper floors of the towers, a true enhancement of the buildings’ urban setting.
