HYATT HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER
This luxury eight story hotel includes a 7, 000 square foot ballroom, three restaurants, a 126-seat amphitheater, and a business center equipped with private offices.
The hotel wraps an atrium that features benches, a water fountain, street lamps, and lush foliage. The 90-foot high atrium is capped by a 25,000 square foot skylight, reputedly the largest in Florida. The skylight is supported by a network of three dimensional queen post trusses.
Terrace guest rooms overlook either the atrium or airport grounds, the latter featuring an elaborate network of islands, waterways, and preserves of Florida wetlands.
In an arrangement reminiscent of a hill town, rooms in the side atriums step back from those located immediately below them which helps to create a memorable space.
